Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Tiffin

Welcome to Advent!

During the Season of Advent we look forward to the coming of Christ. As a congregation that means that we sing songs like “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” that focus our attention on our need for a Savior and our world’s need for hope, peace, joy & love that can only come from God’s gift of Jesus. We also light Advent candles, setting aside special time to watch as Christ’s light breaks into our weary world. You are invited to join us Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM for our Advent worship services.

Upcoming Special Services

Sunday, December 20, 6:30 PM: Join us for a “Blue Christmas” service of healing and wholeness. We understand that the holidays can be very difficult for many people. This service acknowledges the pain you are facing, and invites the light of Christ to break into our personal darkness.

Sunday, December 24, 6:30 PM: Join us for Christmas music for a half hour before our Christmas Eve Candlelight service begins at 7 PM. All are invited to join us in the wonder of this Holy Night, as we remember Christ’s birth.

WELCOME!  First Presbyterian Church is a diverse and creative community of faith. We exist to worship God with open minds and passionate spirits, and we invite you to join us on a spiritual path that values questions and seeks to put our Christian faith into action in our Tiffin community.  We trust one another to study the scriptures, grow in faith, and follow Jesus’ example the best we are able.

  • Sometimes this means we are gathered in worship.
  • Sometimes this means we are advocating on someone’s behalf in our community.
  • Sometimes this means we are praying for ways to live out God’s presence to others in this world.

Take a minute to look around our site, and please join us Sunday mornings for worship, where we celebrate God’s presence in our communal life!

Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Adult Sunday School: 9 AM on Sunday mornings beginning 9/17/17

Worship Service: Sundays at 10:30–  Childcare is available, though not required (ALL children are welcome in worship!), with paid staff who have been thoroughly trained and have a background check.

Children’s Sunday School: Children up through 2nd grade  are welcome to stay in the nursery for the entire worship service. Following “A Time to Worship with Children,” toddlers and preschoolers will have a formal Sunday School class in the nursery. Children in grades K-3 may also leave at that time to attend Sunday School in the class next door to the nursery. Children who remain in worship (both at the beginning or for the full service) will be learning about worshiping God by participating in worship.  Pick up a Worship Bag to color, construct with legos, or doodle as you listen. We LOVE including children in worship with us!
